Beyond Apps: The Need for Real Solutions to Detect Hidden Skin Damage

Apps fall short in detecting hidden skin issues. Only a tangible solution like UV light can reveal the unseen damage, ensuring proper care beyond what phone cameras can capture.

No more wasting time searching for the right tutorials, finding similar skin textures and abnormalities on YouTube or TikTok, or looking for the right products that may not necessarily give the desired results.

Innovation in technology

The RPI HQ camera with the IMX477 sensor can capture some UV light below 400 nm, but the Bayer filter (RGB) absorbs most of it, limiting detection. By removing the Color Filter Array (CFA) through a chemical process, the sensor becomes sensitive enough for UV photography and real-time video. To enhance UV light detection, a short pass filter is used to allow only UV light to reach the sensor arrays, enabling better capture of UV wavelengths.
